Toronto Maple Leafs superstar shockingly praises several New York Rangers players ahead of upcoming game
Auston Matthews has a history with more than a few New York Rangers players. Both of them are current, and one plays on the blue line while the other is JT Miller.
Auston Matthews had the chance to play with JT Miller during the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament in 2024-2025.
It was the first of its kind and led to some of the highest ratings NHL hockey has ever seen.
The best-on-best tournament has featured players like Auston Matthews, and
Connor McDavid, and the ancillary stars have proven to garner solid ratings for the sport like Miller.
However, with his play, Miller caught Team USA's Captain's eye, as one of the more fierce competitors the USA has had during the tournament.
Miller wasn't the only Rangers who has seen playing time with Matthews, and he's had the pleasure of sharing the ice with Borgen.
Borgen also earned his acclaim during his short time as teammates with Matthews in the IIHF WJC on Team USA.
They will face off against each other tonight on Madison Square Garden ice. This time, the competition will be between Miller, Borgen, and Matthews as they fight for the top spot in the league.
But for the Rangers, they're still in the hunt for a wild card spot in the playoffs, only two points behind the Blue Jackets, and Senators.
Miller has been on a tear since he arrived in New York, scoring 9 points (5 G, 4 A) in 8 games with the Rangers.
He and Borgen can contribute to the total victory over the Maple Leafs, and keep the Metropolitan Division race tight if they can obtain a win in regulation.
