Former New York Rangers forward has just been listed as a game-time decision ahead of the Rangers vs Kraken game on Saturday night after being sidelined for 6-weeks with a broken hand.
Back on Wednesday, Sept 24, former Rangers forward
Kaapo Kakko, who now plays for the Seattle Kraken, took a nasty two-hander slash to the hand by one of the Edmonton Oilers top prospects during the preseason.
Definitely a tough break for the kid as he was looking for a fresh start with the Kraken this season, after being traded in December by the New York Rangers.
The Seattle Kraken List Kaapo Kakko As A Game-Time Decision
Earlier on Saturday afternoon, the Seattle Kraken's head coach Lane Lambert had revealed that Kaapo Kakko will be listed as a game-time decision for their upcoming game against the Rangers.

Despite the very long six-weeks waiting period being over the Seattle Kraken need to make sure that Kaako is up to speed and is ready to suit up for his 2025-26 season debut.
But with that being said it appears that the 24-year old forward has a very good chance at playing tonight as he took rushes with the Kraken's power play units during practice on Saturday morning.

Kakko has developed into one of the Seattle Kraken's star players as he tallied 30 points (10 goals, 20 assists) in his first 49 games with the organization. So having him return before their game against the Rangers will certainly provide them with a major boost.
