Rangers fans brutally destroy star prospect Gabe Perreault after critical mistake during NHL debut
New York Rangers star prospect Gabe Perreault made a critical mistake during his NHL debut on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden and fans aren't letting him off easy.
During the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, the New York Rangers used their 23rd overall pick on Boston College's Gabe Perreault, and just nearly two years later, he made his NHL debut.
The 19-year old joins the NHL after coming off of a two incredible years with the Eagles, and at Madison Square Garden, he made his debut on Wednesday night against the Minnesota Wild, with plenty of former teammates and friends in the crowd.

After the game was tied at 1-1, the Minnesota Wild scored another goal to give them the 2-1 lead, but after the replay, it clearly shows that Perreault made a major rookie mistake that could have costed the team the game.
Brock Faber was obviously credited the goal, but it likely wouldn't have gone in if it wasn't for the help of Gabe Perreault. Which as created some fans to jokingly call him out for his mistakes.
It's safe to say that this may not be the first memory from his NHL career that he'll want to remember.
