Recent reports have surfaced that indicates Toronto Maple Leafs superstar forward Mitch Marner will be leaving the organization this offseason, something the New York Rangers should be excited for as Marner has just eliminated six-teams from his free agency list.
All signs are pointing to Mitch Marner hitting the free agency market this offseason, especially after his recent comments during the Maple Leafs end of season press conferences.
However, a recent report has surfaced that indicates Marner has no intentions on joining another Canadian team if he decides to leave the Toronto Maple Leafs, which is huge news for the New York Rangers, as an insider has revealed what the Rangers must pay to acquire Mitch Marner.
Marner has spent nearly a decade with the Toronto Maple Leafs and every year they fail to get father than the second-round of the playoffs, so maybe a fresh new start for him is needed.

According to NHL insider Anthony DiMarco, the Calgary Flames had intensions to target Marner, but now he's stating that Marner likely won't want to play for another Canadian team.
