I think Brandon London is correct when he states that the «Math ain't math-ing» as the New York Rangers head into the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs Versus the Carolina Hurricanes. The Carolina Hurricanes have, in the past, been the better team however, we have also seen the New York Rangers come a long way since.
From all the games both teams have played this season (and in the playoffs), both teams have proven to be strong opponents. I think the Carolina Hurricanes will bring a higher energy vibe than the New York Rangers but I also think the New York Rangers will bring a lot more focus and strategies to balance things out on the ice. Having higher energy doesn't always mean making the right moves toward a win on the ice and the New York Rangers have a way of starting slow and then making their moves count at the most opportune moments.
