New York Rangers head coach candidate officially interviewed for shocking coaching position
The New York Rangers are currently on the search for their next head coach, and it seems the search may grow harder as one candidate, Joel Quenneville has just been interviewed for a head coach position.
Recent reports have just surfaced that confirmed three-time Stanley Cup winning head coach Joel Quenneville has just been interviewed with a shocking Western Conference team.
NHL insider and analyst Frank Seravalli confirmed that the statement was in fact true, that Joel Quenneville did have an interview with the Ducks organization.
Along with stated that Ducks GM Pat Verbeek and Quenneville were teammates back in the day with
the Hartford Whalers, clearly stating that there's a familiar history between the two.

He is a strong candidate but it's still early in the process, multiple interviews to come in Anaheim.
Quenneville and Ducks GM Pat Verbeek were teammates in Hartford in 1989-90.
However, like Frank Seravalli stated it was just interview and nothing more than that, as the Ducks will be going through a long process of interviews to find the right head coach just like the New York Rangers.
Joel Quenneville makes strong bid to become the Rangers next head coach
On Joel Quenneville: "Multiple sources indicated that 66-year-old badly wants an opportunity and views New York as a coveted landing spot."
But like always, only time will tell what will truly happen and who the Rangers will select as their next head coach.
