It appears that the Boston Bruins, in all of their hubris, have passed on New York Rangers' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>David Carle, as GM Don Sweeney wants a coach with NHL experience. Giving the Rangers a shot at acquiring Carle's services. Can GM Chris Drury sign him?

The Boston Bruins will be passing on Denver's David Carle. GM Don Sweeney has decided to prioritize coaches with NHL experience, effectively removing Carle from his search as a replacement for Joe Sacco.
This gives the New York Rangers a better shot at acquiring the former back-to-back gold medal-winning coach.
While the Rangers may have to shell out a considerable amount for Carle's services, they don't have to worry about competition from the Blackhawks or Bruins now.
According to Pro Hockey Rumors, there may be some convincing to jump to the NHL that needs to take place.
Carle recently withdrew consideration for the Blackhawks position, but it appears he's not currently interested in any coaching jobs in the NHL. As Friedman notes, things can always change as more positions become available, such as the Pittsburgh Penguins position becoming available today. But for now, it appears the 35-year-old coach has unfinished business at the NCAA-level.

Carle is already set, as his contract with Denver runs through the 2026-2027 season. As one of the best coaches in the NCAA at the moment, he can write his own checks in the NHL, and doesn't seem too compelled to make a move right away.
GM Chris Drury may have to pull out the Brinks truck in order to secure his services.
Given that the team has already seen how a winning NCAA coach in the NHL has performed behind the bench in New York, the Rangers could be hesitant to do so.
But if Drury intends to do his due diligence with available candidates, Carle should be one to call upon, whether he wants the job or not.
Carle has two NCAA Championships and two Gold Medals to his name.
