The New York Rangers and head coach Peter Laviolette announce a shocking move with their roster on Tuesday morning as they confirm former first-round pick will be a healthy scratch against Calgary Flames tonight.
It seems after the New York Rangers fell short to the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday night, head coach Peter Laviolette wanted to make some changes to his offensive lines.
So as the New York Rangers hit the ice for their morning practice on Tuesday, there was a noticeable change in the lineup as former first-round draft pick Brennan Othmann was not participating in the rushes.
Juuso Parssinen will replace Brennan Othmann in tonight's lineup against the Calgary Flames
Instead of Othmann being in the lineup, the New York Rangers deadline acquisition Juuso Parssinen officially be slotting back into the lineup after being a healthy scratch for the last few games for the Rangers.
With that being said, it appears that Parssinen will slot in on the third line beside Sam Carrick and Chris Kreider, while Brett Berard gets bumped down to the fourth line with Jimmy Brodzinski and Matthew Rempe.

It's no surprise that Othmann was made a healthy scratch as the prospect hasn't been the most productive since being recalled to the New York Rangers lineup, as in eleven game the 22-year old has failed to tally a single point.
