New York Rangers 2025 NHL Lottery Draft fate was just confirmed and it's worse than expected

For the first time since the 2020-21 season the New York Rangers failed to qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, as they were officially eliminated from contention with a 7-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

However, with that being said, the NHL Draft Lottery was something New York Rangers fans were looking forward too, and now they know their fate for the NHL draft.

Entering the NHL Draft Lottery, the New York Rangers had a 3% chance to move from the No. 11 pick to the No. 1 pick.

The NHL made a surprising change to the NHL Draft Lottery this year. It's the first time in the 30-year history that the draw will be done live from the NHL Network's office in Secaucus, New Jersey.

They made it so the first pick being revealed was going to be the first overall pick, and then everything at that would be revealed in numerical order up until No.16, depending on the second draw.

The New York Rangers have officially found out where they will be drafting this year.
It was revealed that the Rangers are going to be drafting 12th overall in this year's NHL Entry Draft as they dropped down 1 spot, from 11th overall to the 12th overall pick.

Now the New York Rangers need to figure out if they have until 48 hours before the June 27 draft to declare if they're going to keep the pick or send it to Pittsburgh
