The Philadelphia Flyers hired Head Coach John Tortorella to lead the rebuild. Now, it looks as if the wheels are falling off, the former Rangers coach got into a heated altercation with Matvei Michkov.
Matvei Michkov is the Philadelphia Flyers former 1st-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
He brings a special skillset that sets off John Tortorella, someone whose been displeased by the Michigan goal making the waves in the NHL. Something, Michkov, likes to perform, with ease.
There was bound to be a confrontation between the two, as Tortorella is an old-school, orthodox hockey coach, while Matvei Michkov is a highly skilled offensive forward.
He's earned a grudge from his new Coach Tortorella, and the two would end up clashing during a game on the bench.
The team's underperformed, and sit at 5th in the Metropolitan Division, and the 3-0 loss to the New York Islanders would be overshadowed by the two clashing during the game.

The two have a fractured relationship afterward, as Tortorella feels that Michkov isn't an NHL-ready player.
