NHL Insider proposes a massive blockbuster trade between the New York Rangers and a familiar trade partner this season, the Vancouver Cover Canucks as the Rangers are likely to make massive moves this offseason.

One insider proposed a ridiculous, but massive four player blockbuster deal that would see the New York Rangers trading Mika Zibanejad along with a top prospect to the Vancouver Canucks in the offseason.
Rangers acquire:

Conor Garland
Dakota Joshua

Canucks acquire:

Mika Zibanejad
Brett Berard

At the end of the day this trade wouldnt make much sense for the Rangers, as the New York Rangers would give up two impactful forwards, while the Canucks don't give up much and still get the better end of the trade as they acquire Mika Zibanejad who is the best player in this trade scenario.
If the New York Rangers would to make this trade, Garland just might be able to fill the void of Zibanejad. This season alone Garland has tallied 18 goals and 24 assists for 42 points in 70 games and would provide the Rangers will a solid middle-six forward.
While Joshua, who is a bottom-six forward who has three years left on his four-year $13 million deal, has only recorded 5 goals and 4 assists for 9 points in 46 games with the Canucks this season.
Which wouldn't make sense for the Rangers to acquire him as 22-year old forward Brett Berard who has recorded 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points in 28 games this season. A younger forward who is putting up just as much points as Joshua in just about half the games played.
The better option would be for the Rangers to hold on to Berard and see how he can truly develop in the NHL as this is only his first season.
Along with that, New York would trade Zibanejad, who has five years left on his eight-year $68 million deal with the Rangers, which would clear up some much needed cap space, but Zibanejad would have to accept this trade and waive his no-movement clause, which is something he's not willing to do for a Canadian team.
