On Saturday afternoon the Rangers faced off against the Vancouver Canucks for the first time since re-acquiring forward J.T. Miller in a trade back on January 23rd.
With both teams fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive, Miller made sure to give his best efforts today, especially on a special day as the Rangers celebrated legendary broadcaster Sam Rosen.
However, J.T. Miller definitely tried to set the tone early in today's game as he laid several hits, but most notably a few heavy hits on former teammate Elias Pettersson.
After months of reports indicating that there was a feud between Miller and Pettersson, Miller continuously shut them down, but his play against him seems to suggest otherwise.
Elias Pettersson at the halfway mark:

- 1 shot attempt (got blocked by J.T. Miller)
- 3 hits taken (all three of them from J.T. Miller)
- got injured

J.T. Miller might genuinely be this guy's Kryptonite.
Along with that, after a whistle early in the second period, Miller laid a late hit on Canucks captain Quinn Hughes along the end boards. Not much behind the hit, but it was still late.

Surprisingly the New York Rangers managed to pull a 5-3 victory against the Canucks, after only having 12 shots on net.
