Concern starts to rise as New York Rangers provided latest update on Adam Edstrom's ongoing injury
Concern is starting to rise as the New York Rangers haven't proved any further updates on forward Adam Edstrom as the last update for the towering forward to be sidelined was 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 months.
It doesn't appear that the timeline for Edstrom's return is changing any time soon, as he could miss the rest of the NHL season.
When Peter Laviolette was asked by Mollie Walker for an update on Adam Edstrom's status we unfortunately haven't received anything good, or noteworthy.
For now, it seems as if Edstrom will not partake in optional skates wearing a non-contact jersey as he's not been cleared for that either.
Edstrom was injured midway through the second period of a 6-3 win at the Boston Bruins on Saturday. He has nine points (five goals, four assists) in 51 games.
Edstrom had gained notoriety as one of the Ranger's established fourth-line players who has been successful at creating offense, and chaos on the ice.
He and Rempe had earned the nickname the "Rempire Towers" for all the contributions on the ice they make.
Not to mention, their size. They absolutely tower over their opponents and use it to their advantage any way they can.
A far cry from the usual
Sam Carrick, and Edstrom, a close friend of his.
The fans, who adore Matt Rempe will undoubtedly miss the other half of the Rempire Towers as we do.
Adam Edstrom could miss the remainder of the regular season because of a lower-body injury.
The Rangers said the forward's timeline is 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 months.
Hopefully the forward will return by the end of the month and will be set to play, as the Rangers are desperately fighting to stay in the Wild Card spot.
