Carolina Hurricanes head coach shares shocking opinion on former Rangers' K'Andre Miller
The Carolina Hurricanes have up quite the bit of equtiy in order to land 25-year old
K'Andre Miller, catching some Rangers fans offguard with what general manager Chris Drury seemingly hauled in.
Miller, who was a restricted free agent, earned the Rangers a second-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, a conditional first-round pick in the 2026 or 2027 NHL Draft and defenseman
Scott Morrow, who is considered a highly touted prospect in the Rangers pipeline already.
With such great value given up by Hurricanes general manager Eric Tulsky, you would expect head coach Rod Brind'Amour to be on the same page.
But it seems far from it...

«The additions were the best we could do,»
-Rod Brind'Amour
Miller quickly earned an eight-year, $60 million contract with an AAV of $7.5M, and they also brought in free agent
Nikolaj Ehlers on a six-year deal worth $8.5 million AAV.
When asked about the teams decisions, the head coach, who's also a former longtime NHL forward, made his feelings known once again and double downed with another underwhelming comment.
From an outside standpoint, it's quite clear K'Andre Miller won't be their saviour to their playoff struggles.
He is a 25-year old defenseman, that had a rough time blooming in the big apple.
«We haven't got over the hump, but it's better to have a chance than no chance,» he said.
