It's been underwhelming four seasons for Rangers Alexis Lafrenière as the former first overall choice in 2020 has not produce the numbers that many expected him to do.

Over the past nine games, he has been goal less and only produced 2 assists against the Vancouver Canucks on January 8th.
That changed after the Rangers snapped their own four-game losing streak when they beat the Washington Capitals 2-1 in the second half of a back-to-back.
Alexis Lafrenière was key as he scored the winning goal which broke his scoring drought.
He has played 42 games in the 2023-2024 season so far and had scored 11 goals, with 15 assists for 26 points and is a - 7 he also has 14 penalty minutes and four power play points.
Head coach Peter Laviolette is trying to find the right mix for Alexis Lafrenière as he tries to coax out his offence.
Alexis Lafrenière, spoke after the game and explained what was done differently to help the team win the game.
With the team holding their lead in the metro division and wanting to get back on track, games like this will be important for the Rangers to build off as the season closes in on the All-Star break.
